Your account

Delete your account.

You can delete your Same Ground account and its data at any time, from the app or here on the web. This page explains exactly what happens.

Two ways to delete

In the app: open your account and choose Schedule account deletion. On the web: sign in on the account page and choose Schedule account deletion. Either one starts the same process.

A 14-day grace period you control

Deletion is scheduled, not instant. For 14 days you can change your mind: sign back in and choose Keep my account to cancel. While deletion is pending you're signed out and account features are paused.

What gets deleted

After the 14 days, your account is permanently removed along with the data linked to it: your pseudonym, the email used to sign in, your messages and community activity, group memberships, saved resources, any verification status, and your reports and blocks. This can't be undone once the grace period passes.

Browsing leaves nothing to delete

You don't need an account to browse resources or reach crisis lines, and that browsing isn't tied to you. When you delete your account or sign out, the information kept on your device, like your check-in and saved list, is cleared too.
